Lisa Moses is an artist, interior architect, educator, and graphic designer whose multidisciplinary practice seamlessly integrates site-specific engagement, historical inquiry, and rigorous research. Her innovative approach leverages biomimicry to reimagine artistic and design methodologies, creating solutions that address environmental challenges and foster meaningful communal change. By manipulating scale and dimensionality, Moses critically examines the structures of our built and natural environments, inspiring transformative thinking.
Nationally recognized for her contributions, Moses nurtures a culture of discovery in her studio while dedicating herself to mentoring and teaching the next generation of creatives. Her work has been featured in leading publications such as The New York Times, Artforum, Interior Design Magazine, The Boston Globe, and Denver Westword. She has earned prestigious accolades, including the National Endowment for the Arts “Our Town” Grant, 1st Place in the ASID Crystal Awards, the IIDA International Sustainable Design Competition, and the Bessie Award in Performance, Installation, and New Media.
Moses holds a Master’s Degree from the Rhode Island School of Design, a Collegiate Teaching Certificate from Brown University, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Pennsylvania State University. Passionate about cross-disciplinary collaboration, she aims to empower individuals to drive sustainable change across diverse creative and environmental contexts.
Currently based in Upstate New York, Moses enjoys life with her husband and son, Sylvan. Outside her professional pursuits, she is an avid cyclist, runner, outdoor enthusiast, and music lover, with a record collection that’s pretty, pretty good ;)
